LEADERSHIP
Valley View Christian Church is governed by godly men in our congregation known as "elders" (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9). As an elder protected and staff run church, our elders cast vision, guard the church (doctrine, mission, vision, values), and shepherd the flock, while our staff runs the day-to-day operations of the church.

Joe Weece,
Senior Minister
Joe is originally from Missouri and attended Ozark Christian College in Joplin, MO. After college, he spent several years serving in the local church before moving to Texas in 2010. Joe married his wife, Ruthann, in 1989 and they have four boys (and four daughters-in-law) who keep their lives very full! Joe enjoys woodworking, football, Mustangs, and spending time with his family. He is passionate about challenging people to follow Christ with their whole lives and is very excited to see how God is using Valley View to advance His Kingdom.

Jamie Loughry,
Connections director
Jamie is called to minister to others by loving them, encouraging them, and helping them deepen their relationship with God and His children. She is amazed that God created each person with unique gifts and passions, and loves seeing people connect with ministry that leverages their unique talents for God's Kingdom. On any given day, you might find Jamie going for a run, playing board games with her family, or checking over a tidy to-do list in her planner!

Daniel Ortiz, Worship Minister
Daniel has been leading worship since he was 7 years old. Daniel and his wife Bianca came to Valley View in December 2021 with a love for God and the Church, and his favorite part has been watching the church family worship together, as well as seeing the gifts and calling of his team members at Valley View as they serve in worship and creative arts! Daniel loves finding new food and coffee places with Bianca, and is a big fan of soccer, movies, history, and travel.

Cindy Hardy,
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Cindy is originally from St. Louis, MO, and graduated from Ozark Christian College and Missouri Southern State University. She and her husband, Gary, served as missionaries in Guam and Saipan where they worked with both established and new church plants and Cindy taught in local elementary schools. Two of their three children were born on the island. After returning to the states, they eventually moved to Dallas in 2000 where Cindy began working at Valley View in 2005. She has recently graduated from 24 years of homeschooling. She loves reading, baking, taking walks and everything that comes with being a new grandma!

Mike Havens,
Discipleship Minister
As the Discipleship Minister on staff at Valley View, Mike loves working with people from all different backgrounds come together, study the Bible in community, and learn how to grow in their faith on their own. Mike is married a wonderful, talented woman named Jenny, and they have 5 amazing and individually different kids—Asher, Malachi, Selah, Titus, and Benaiah—plus the two dogs, Hazel and Opal. No-bake cookies give Mike a small glimpse of heaven, and he loves backpacking, trying out foods from various cultures, and concerts.

Jonah Weece, Student Minister
Jonah joined Valley View's staff as student minister in May 2021, two weeks before marrying his wife Jadeyn! He loves students and kids of all ages, and his favorite story from ministry is when a child told him that he wanted Jonah to be his Christmas present that year. Jonah also loves potatoes in any form, The Dallas Cowboys, and Science Fiction. His favorite verses are Joshua 1:9, and Ezekiel 34:11-14.

Jadeyn Weece, Kidzview director
Jadeyn has been serving kids and families at Valley View for years, so it was an exciting "yes" when she agreed to take on a ministry residency in KidzView! Her heart for kids and developing their faith and love for Jesus is evident as she continues to invest in the next generation at Valley View. Jadeyn grew up playing multiple sports and has a longtime love of the Cowboys and Texas Longhorns, and her favorite scripture is Psalm 139:14.

Amy Irby, preView Director
Amy is passionate about loving kids and finding new ways to teach them about Jesus! Her favorite part of her job as preView Director is planning activities for Valley View kids that will show them how much Jesus loves them. She married her husband, Matthew, in 2009, and they have two incredible boys.

bianca ortiz, Communications director
Bianca loves helping people find and follow Jesus! She gets a lot of joy out of helping people find a sense of belonging and community as they learn how they are known and loved by God and their church family. Bianca is super creative and is always working on a project that allows her to create beautiful things by hand, and spends a lot of time collecting vinyls, gardening, cooking and starting new DIY projects with her husband Daniel. Bianca's favorite verse is Isaiah 46:4.

Ashley Williams, Administrative Assistant
Following Jesus made such an impact on Ashley's family, that she feels called to invite others to the blessing! She loves how her job allows her to encourage people to discover the importance of faith in building a strong family. Ashley also loves her husband Skip, her daughters Peyton and Jessica, her son-in-law Josiah, and her crazy, goofy dog.

Lisa Rogers, Finance Administrative Assistant
Lisa has been part of the Valley View church family for over 30 years, faithfully loving and serving the people in her church family in mostly behind-the-scenes roles before finally joining the staff in 2021! She loves baking, traveling, the Dallas Stars, her 3 dogs, and most of all, getting to spend time with her kids and grandkids together with her husband Dale.
