What We Believe
God is Real
There is one God, eternally existent in three Persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and He is completely sovereign, gracious, and loving.
The Bible is True
The Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God, without error in the original documents, and of final authority in all matters of life, faith, and practice.
Jesus is Alive
Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Son of Man, fully God and fully Man - born of a virgin, perfect in His Person and eternal in His being. Jesus Christ died on a cross to rescue us from our helpless state - paying the penalty for our sin - and He rose from the dead on the third day, ascended into Heaven, and now sits at God's right hand as our Mediator.
God Wants to Help Us
The Holy Spirit convicts people of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He dwells in the universal church corporately and lives in the believer. He draws the believer closer to God, gives spiritual gifts, convicts, and enables the believer to live a godly life
Jesus Makes a Relationship with God Possible
God created the world and all things in it. Humanity was created in the image of God and was originally without sin. Because of the sin of Adam and Eve, humanity is now sinful, both by sin nature and by choice. Forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who trust Christ as Savior and Lord. Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ alone, and cannot be earned by any work. The Bible teaches that the conversion process is as follows: hearing the message, putting faith in Christ, repenting of sin, confessing Christ, and being baptized by immersion into Christ.
God Gives Victory
In the beginning God created spiritual beings known as angels. They serve Him and worship Him continually. One of the angels rebelled against God, and was cast out of heaven with other angels who rebelled with him. He is now known as Satan and his fallen angels are demons. He continually fights against God and His people.
The Church Loves People
God has united all believers into the church, and has given us the task to make disciples (Matt. 28:19-20)
Jesus is Coming Back
The Lord Jesus Christ will return soon. While there are many interpretations of this event, we teach the following are nonnegotiable: At His return, Jesus will cast away Satan and his demons, there will be a resurrection of all who have lived, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Christ, and those believing will spend eternity with Jesus while those unbelieving will spend eternity without Jesus.
