VALLEY VIEW RESPECTS YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
At Valley View, we respect the privacy of our attenders and web site visitors. We do use information you provide to better serve you, but we also recognize that this information belongs to you and that we must treat it accordingly. The following statement spells out our privacy policy in more detail. The policy applies to Valley View Christian Church, vvcc.org and other sites on the World Wide Web owned and operated by Valley View. If there are material changes to this policy in the future, information concerning any such change will be posted on this webpage.
OUR USE OF PERSONAL AND NON-PERSONAL INFORMATION
Valley View collects two different types of information: personal and non-personal. Visitors are not required to register to access the public pages of our sites. Non-personal information is collected to track statistical information regarding the number and type of guests visiting Valley View sites in order to guide our efforts to improve our sites. The non-personal information we monitor includes the browser type and operating system being used by our visitors; areas of the sites visited; dates and time of access; host or service-provider information; and identification of the referring site. This information is used exclusively for our internal purposes and is not disclosed to any non-affiliated third parties.
Personal information that can identify a visitor, such as name, address or contact information, is collected only when voluntarily offered and solely for purposes that are clearly identified on our sites. Access to pages with content specific to a ministry area and/or its constituents is password-protected and requires pre-registration. Personal information acquired through registration is kept confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties except as may be required by law.
COLLECTED INFORMATION
Any information that you provide to Valley View or that is obtained through this website may be used by Valley View. We may disclose your information to related or affiliated entities. We will not sell, rent or lease your personal information to commercial entities. Any information that Valley View may disclose to third parties will only be released in the aggregate and will not contain any personally identifiable information. Aggregate information is useful for church statistics and marketing purposes. Valley View will not otherwise disclose your name, address, email address or phone number without your express consent, unless disclosure is necessary to comply with laws or relevant legal proceedings.
Valley View may offer services to you such as chat rooms, message boards, or other similar discussion forums. Please be aware that any information you divulge in these arenas is deemed public information and is not protected.
OUR USE OF “COOKIES”
Valley View may place an electronic “cookie” in the browser files of a guest’s computer. Cookies are pieces of information that a web site transfers to an individual’s computer hard drive for record-keeping purposes. Cookies themselves do not enable us to access any personal information about our visitors; however, they do allow Valley View to analyze guests’ use of our sites and to improve the user experience. This analysis helps us better understand which areas of our sites are most useful and popular so we can plan improvements and updates accordingly. Valley View does not use cookies to retrieve information from a visitor’s computer that was not originally sent in a cookie. Most computers will automatically receive cookies. You can prevent cookies from being placed on your computer by accessing your browser’s settings.
As a courtesy, Valley View may provide links to other sites that are neither owned nor controlled by Valley View. Some of these sites may use the Valley View logo. These third party sites, however, are NOT subject to or bound by the Valley View Privacy Policy. Such third party sites may or may not have their own privacy policies and may or may not collect personal information from you or place cookies on your browser. Valley View is not responsible for the privacy policies or any information collection practices of these sites or any damages resulting there from.
