Love Dallas Day is a day Valley View Christian Church serves local communities in the name of Jesus. There are various projects for you to participate in such as helping those who are unhoused, blessing local teachers, helping at food banks, and more!

Projects take place on Saturday, September 28 at various times and various organizations in the area.  Sign up for whichever option works best. (If you don't see something that we've arranged that works for you and your schedule, feel free to come up with your own project, invite some friends, and let us know what you're doing by registering and click the Project Option that says "Other".)

Love Dallas Day is a great opportunity to serve with friends, family, your life group, your neighbors, and your Valley View church family.

Limited slots are available for each project so sign up soon!

Projects are listed below. Specific details will be emailed to you to week of the event. **Please notice that some opportunities will ask you to bring some sort of donation. If possible, please plan to contribute what the organization is asking of you to bring.

City of Carrollton

• Help a local resident remove their fence that was destroyed in the storm earlier this Summer. 

• Location: this info will be given out later.

Laundry Blessings

• Encourage patrons by visiting with them. Valley View will help pay for some of their laundry.

• Location: Meet at Valley View

• Saturday, September 28, 10:30 am -12:00 pm

Soup Mobile

• Make sack lunches that will be distributed throughout the month at the Soup Mobile Ministry in downtown Dallas

• Location: Life Church Central Coppell

• Saturday, September 28, 8:45-11:30 am

• You will need to bring:

  • 3 packs of lunch meat(ham or bologna is preferred)

  • 3 packs - American cheese (individual slices)

  • 4 loaves of bread

  • 1 container of Mustard (plain yellow)

  • 1-2 large bags of chips or cookies

  • 1-100 ct of Sandwich Bags (make sure they zip)

  • Please try to bring an equal amount of meat, cheese, and bread. Example: if you bring enough slices of cheese for 72 sandwiches, please bring enough meat and bread for 72 sandwiches. 

Nursing Home Ice Cream Party

• Encourage residents by throwing an ice cream party

• Location: The Madison on Marsh (Carrollton)

• Saturday, September 28, 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Our Calling

• OurCalling helps our unsheltered homeless neighbors walk with Jesus and get off the streets.

• Location: 1702 South Cesar Chavez Blvd. 
  Dallas, TX 75215

• Our group will help with various kitchen tasks and serving food to those in need. 

• Once you register with us, you will be sent a link to also register with Our Calling as well. 

• You will also be asked to bring some things to help with their food pantry and ministries to the homeless.

Teacher Appreciation Gifts

• Assemble gift packages and write encouraging notes for teachers at McKamy Elementary

• Location: Valley View Christian Church

• Saturday, September 28, 9-11 am

Other - You Choose Your Own Project

• Just like it says... you pick your own project with your friends, family, Life Group, etc. Just make sure to indicate on the project options that this is your plan. 

• We'd also love to hear what you are doing so we can celebrate Loving Dallas!
