Every building project we undertake involves adjustments, and unexpected difficulties. Many people tell you to budget an extra 20-30% for a project because there will be unexpected expenses and issues to deal with. The same is true of our lives. Just when we think we have things figured out, life throws a wrench into our plans, causing us to readjust and consult the plans again.
When Paul wrote the book of Colossians, he was in prison. Not exactly what he wanted. Yet, he made the most of that opportunity to challenge a new Church to be "rooted and built up in him". This is a good challenge for us today.
The book of Colossians is a great book to help guide us through this season of uncertainty, fear, loneliness, and opportunity by challenging us to continue to be built up in Him.
