Grow: Theology of Work

  • Valley View Christian Church 17601 Marsh Lane Dallas, TX, 75287 United States (map)

Current Topic: "Theology of Work”

What does God do between 9 and 5? Where is God's work done? Does my work and career matter to God? How do my calling, my mission, and my work relate to one other? How can I offer my work to God as worship?

Most of us spend a third of our day "at work." How should followers of Jesus think about their work? How should we engage daily in our work to love God and the people in our community and world? How can we love God, live free, and lead others in and through our work?

Join us for Grow at 9am in Room 230 on Sundays, between January 15 and March 5, as Mark Hahlen and Jack Straus lead a study of how our work matters to God and how God matters to our work.

The recommended read-along texts are:

Timothy Keller, Every Good Endeavor: Connecting Your Work to God's Work, Riverhead Books, 2012 (https://www.amazon.com/Every-Good-Endeavor-Connecting-Your-ebook/dp/B007T8R18K/ref=sr_1_1?crid=TB0SPKO4K6R2&keywords=every+good+endeavor+tim+keller&qid=1672251919&sprefix=every+good%2Caps%2C104&sr=8-1)
